Commitment to an Idea:

 

This branch of Compton Design Office acts as an outlet for us to be able to go beyond imagining, and physically test our ideas.  We call it “the department of keeping it real”.  Scaler models, full scale prototypes, furniture, or just crazy sculptures; making what we conceive tests our ideas and changes the way we think and approach design.  Our shop incorporates old tools and techniques as well as the latest in digital fabrication.  The challenge of creating something we imagine can alter the end result in surprising ways.  It is this journey, this commitment to an idea, that hones our skills and keeps us sharp.
